A space to connect and be supported

Parent Support Group

A space to connect, be heard, supported and empowered!

Each month we host a Support Group for parents (as well as carers and family) with extraordinary children, including those with complex care needs and also with a focus on those with rare or unknown conditions. The majority of the children require special education and/or long term care.

Each month one session is held in-person in our community space in central Amsterdam and another session is offered online. It is offered free of charge and with the option of childcare for the in-person meetings. The sessions are designed to create a space where parents can come together, share experiences, and gain valuable insights to support their child’s journey.

These sessions are organised in collaboration with Ludica, an organisation supporting both neurodivergent children and their parents. The meetings are hosted by Claudia Carter, a Professional Mediator and Family Counselor focused on the use of Positive Communication.
